Breed conformation is the combination of skeleton, muscle structure, body shape, and coat type that is unique
to each breed. It is defined in the document known as the breed standard.
In competion, handlers are generally required to "gait" the dogs around the edge of the ring and then "stack" them in a
line to begin the judging . (The stack is a pose used to show the dog to best advantage.) The
dog then "stands for examination."
The experienced staff at Companion Dog Training can help prepare you and your pet for this challenging form of
competition.
